This is amazing. Please go buy strawberries and recreate this right now. The wonderful ladies at Haute Apple Pie are inspiring.

Mix:

  • 4 oz. of cream cheese (half of a package)
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. extract (almond, vanilla, peppermint: use your imagination!)

Put the mixture into a pastry bag.

Slice your strawberries from tip to stem. Don’t slice them all the way through. Then, turn your strawberry 90 degrees and slice it from tip to stem again, so you have an X.

Using the pastry bag, fill the middle of the strawberries with cream cheese. Enjoy! For bonus points, drizzle the outside of the strawberry with chocolate.
