Welcome to Balance and Blueberries! My name is Rachel; I’m a 20-something, recently married and returned to the town I grew up in. Life is one unexpected adventure after another, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
I recently married this really great guy and kept on moving north from the little town in Indiana I’ve called home for the last 3 years. I fill my time here with a bit of part time work, some piano teaching and music making, and some freelance administrative support. I love being outside (even in the winter!), and spending time with people I love, feeding them good food.
Here at B&B, you’ll see the chronicles of my eats with snippets of my life thrown in. I’m in the continual process of learning how to cook with more variety, but both my time and money are on tight budgets. With few exceptions, the recipes that I’ll share with you will be easy to make and affordable. Check out the Recipes I love tab. Let me know what you think!
This blog is a chronicle of my journey toward greater balance. It’s about finding moderation: not too much, not to little. Healthy living. And a good dose of fun and adventure along the way.
Hey. I just started a blog and I realized we are both from Indiana!
Hope we can stay in touch. I added you to my blogroll. Although I haven’t posted yet (I start tomorrow morning), I’m excited about becoming part of the community.

Welcome! Yay for bloggers from the cornfields!
Love your blog, and about to bake some bread (by hand, not machine). Searching for the wheat bread recipe. BTW, you’re a cutie.
Your blog is beautiful- love the design. Glad I happened upon it. -kate
I’m glad you did, too. Welcome!
My daughter, Hannah, told me about your blog. So glad that she did. Your recipes look wonderful!
Thanks!
